Well, y’all… We got really close.

As many of you know, due to an increase of cases in Nashville, the city has reverted to an earlier phase of the plan to reopen. For us, that’s really, really unfortunate news. Based on the latest regulations and recommendations, we are no longer able to have the wedding and celebration we planned. We are still getting married that day, but the celebration will be limited to immediate family.

We know we aren’t the only ones who have been heavyhearted about what to do. We know the difficult decisions you have had to make about celebrating with us. We’ve cried together and cursed this whole thing with you. We absolutely hate that it had to drag on as long as it did and that you were put in those situations. For that, we are so very sorry. Trends in Nashville had been promising for a long time, but with this change in plans to reopen, we simply are unable to move forward as we hoped.

We don't know if there will be a party at a later date or not. We've talked about it, but honestly, we are a bit drained right now and don't feel like we're in a place to decide just yet. If there is, rest assured, y'all will be invited, and it will be a time to be had.

All we ask is that y'all stay safe and healthy and that you’ll raise a glass (or several) to us on July 11, wherever you might be. We love you so much.

Hi, I’m Dottie.

We thought while providing wedding updates, we’d also share one of the reasons we are doing okay during all the uncertainty. We adopted a puppy! We’re pretty lucky to have this little girl. She keeps us smiling.
